Can This Supplement Make Your Child Smarter & Better Behaved?
You’ve no doubt heard both conventional and alternative medicine sources agree about how good fish oil is for adults, but is it good for your kids too?
Let’s have a look at what some recent studies have concluded: Research by Durham County Council in the United Kingdom found that pupils who took Omega-3 capsules in the year before their exams had superior results to those who did not.
Here’s what happened: More than 3,000 year 11 students from all over the county took fish oil capsules every day.
The children who continued taking the supplements achieved two grades higher in their exams, an average of 17.7 points more, than those who did not take the pills.

For example, ADHD children experience excessive thirst, dry skin, dry hair and have lower levels of omega-3 in their blood than children without ADHD.
In fact, there is some evidence increasing omega-3 levels can reduce the severity of ADHD-type behaviour, including inattention in some children.
What’s more, some children with reading difficulties have demonstrated significant improvements in their reading after taking fish oil.
So how does fish oil work?
Basically, fish oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids. And the human brain is comprised of 60% fats, approximately half of which is DHA omega 3.
So nature intended the human brain to be “powered” by fats, therefore if you don’t have enough fats in your brain then it won’t be able to run effectively. It’s kind of like trying to run a car with bad fuel. It’s not going to work as well.
Of course, fish oil is known to help far more than just the brain. It helps with heart health, skin disorders, inflammation and much, much more.
